horses manes and tails at least 3 times a month, and sunscreen applied
to white noses of FULL CARE HORSES daily. Square Bales are required in all non-full care fields during winter
months and will be billed to each boarder accordingly. All horses are required to be kept on a rotational Vaccination
schedule of flu/rhino every 3rd month, Dewormer every 3rd month, and EWT every 6th month and will
be billed to each horse accordingly. Strangles vaccinations required yearly.
REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE PROPERTY: Each horse before entering the property must show VALID proof that the horse has had a Flu/Rhino/EWT shot within one year, and a Strangles Vaccination within 6 months of arrival. If you cannot show proof of these vaccinations, they will be administered upon arrival and will be billed to the owner on the following vet bill. A current Coggins and Health cert are required as well.
As most boarding facilities, we do require a 30-day notice (to start on the first of a month only) to cancel a contract and move your horse or to change your boarding option.
HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR HAY AND GRAIN BILLS:
We offer a wide variety of hay and grain options. The most commonly used hay is our grass hay ( a rich green mix, not a steamy yellow grass hay) , which runs approx. $25-30/monthly for the summer months for stall kept horses. In winter months, we use more hay since there is no grass to be eaten and boarders should expect the hay bill to at least double.
The grain we carry at the farm is Hallways. They mill daily, and it is delivered weekly to ensure that we have the freshest quality grain possible. Hallways carries all types of grains, weight builders, and supplements you can choose from. Grains range from $9-20 PER BAG. Most of our boarders have chosen to use their 14% blend which is .68 a scoop. We can give price quotes on other types of grain as requested.
PRICING ON HAY AND GRAIN MAY CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER AND PRODUCERS. WE ONLY CHARGE WHAT WE PAY OUT, WE DO NOT ADD ON ANY ADDITIONAL FEES.
We will feed supplements with every meal which boarders provide. If you have multiple supplements, we can place them in baggies for you so your horse is ensured proper amounts every feeding.
